Something a Little Mischievous
Hello all! If any of you have 2 year olds, you know that you have to activate those eyes in the back, sides and top of your head! My little Munchie just LOVES to paint and color and so when she decided to expand her canvas, I suddenly had to be on guard for all furniture, walls and important papers (she only likes the IMPORTANT ones) lying around. I could’t help snapping these shots of her though. In her true, ‘I’m not doing anything deserving of a timeout fashion’, as soon as she saw me coming, she said, “Look Mommy, Ciiirkles!” All I could do was smile, grab Lola, and snap away; no argument, no timeout… just smiles.
I just LOVE this little girl!… and the best part is… she’s MINE! (and her father’s I guess)… I LOVE YOU TOO HUSBAND OF MINE!!! lol

Shi... What are You Doing???
Lyanda’s Song
Do you remember this little joy? Full of expression and energy? Well her Mom asked me to put together a slideshow using a song that I think has made its mark in every woman’s heart allowing us to know that we are loved just the way we are…CLICK HERE TO SEE SLIDESHOW

Just a Little Something to Put a Smile on our Face :-)
Happy Hump Day Wednesday!!! If you see a pen, give yourself a smily face! They bring instant cheer!
A Star is Born!

Quaint Miss...

Such the lady to not expose herself!

Movie star in the making!... Striking!
A Good Wednesday afternoon to you! Having spent the last two days trying to knock some bugs out of my site, (probably more like my head) I am FINALLY able to show more of Lady Delani! As you see from these photos, this little Jem has all the makings of a future Hollywood Starlet! I learned a lot from Miss Delani that day, things like: A girl can never have too many shoes, dresses, or jewelry… and most importantly, we all think that babies are the same, you see one, you’ve seen them all… but in moments like this, we see that the future that is to be Delani’s has already begun! Do not underestimate kids, they are more intuitive than we realize!
I thank you Lady Delani!
Lady Delani…

Do you see that sly grin???

In Awe...
Well, here we are Tuesday, and I can say my week started out fabulously after having met this Little Diva! As I told her mom earlier today, I felt as if I was in the presence of Royalty because she acted as such! At only 15 months old, Lady Delani got all dolled up, tried to leave the house, had a few wardrobe changes, put out a fire, and had an afternoon walk! Trust me, it went in that exact order! I even left out some parts!
I hope you enjoy this sneak peek of Lady Delani and stay tuned for more of this little Beauty!
Silent Beauty

Silent Beauty....

The World is there for the taking...

The eyes have it!
As promised, here are a few more shots from Lyanda’s session. I was able to get such a range from this precious little gummy! What caught me the most were her EYES; they were very telling and at times, just pulled me into them. There was detail everywhere, from her piercing eyes and golden wisps of hair, to her juicy hands, I was in love!
Congratulations Yolanda and Lydon! She’s a beauty! :-)
Sweet Lyanda

Pretty in Pink

I love those big, beautiful EYES!

Let's Shout for JOY!
Happy Monday Fun-day!!!
I have been eager to post these photos from a shoot with this adorable one year old Lyanda! I have known Lyanda’s mother for at least 10 years now and since her birth, I have seen a whole new woman (and you can see why)! She was gracious enough to open her home to Lola and I, and allow us to snap away at her precious little girl. I must say, I think that Lyanda knows a good camera when she sees one, because every move she made seemed to be the perfect pose! She has such a wonderful personality and is quite expressive whether she’s bursting into song or studying an object.
Look out for my next post that features a more contemplative Lyy Lyy!
In Remembrance, 09/11/11

A somber moment as President and First Lady pay their respects

No Words...

In a time of inexplicable pain, remember to love
Good Morning, good morning, good morning. Today as you know is the 10 year anniversary of 9/11, and on this difficult day for many, I have decided to post images that I felt were strong reminders of the enormity of the occasion but also images that were much different to the earlier, mind numbing ones. I hope that as we all think of where we were on that fateful day that we could also look at the present acknowledging the sense of loss, while praising the sense of pride for being a country that has risen from what others hoped to be devastating beyond repair.
I also urge you to pay specific attention to the last image, ‘Remember to Love’. It was hate that brought on the existance of what is now 9/11, but it is LOVE that will carry us through. Please do not be ruled by hate because it’s then that you loose sight of the Love lesson and that is, when you love the ones that try to hurt you, you have then taken away their power over you.

Sneak Peek

A sneak peek into the studio of a Jewelry Designer

Sneak peek into something new and exciting! I had the pleasure of photographing a good friend of mine for an upcoming article in MACO Magazine, one of the Caribbean’s leading publications. Featured was Jewelry Designer, Nichola Depass-Chong, a fellow islander who also has found a way to express her creativity not only as an Interior Designer but also through her one of a kind jewelry. These images only scratch the surface of what I was able to capture that day, but I felt that the close up of her hands was pretty powerful as all of her jewelry is hand-made.
Look out for a subsequent post with a direct link to the article and more images!
Color! How Wonderful!
Isn’t Nature’s sense of style amazing?! Just look at the colors in this tiny arrangement. When your eyes are wide open, there is inspiration in everything! Not to mention that I lucked out with a background that echoed the subject further emphasizing… COLOR!
Teach me Daddy

Teach Me Daddy

A regular day, made extraordinary. The Munchkin’s first bike riding lesson, with Daddy instructing her on how to peddle to make the bike move… she thought the bike was a new version of a stroller… void of any physical exertion on her part lol.
Mmmmmm….
